I wish I could have been there to meet Ayala and taste the yummy mochi! It was a dear friend who attended and wrote up the lovely review of her experience.

Thanks for reading,

Been curious about Ayala fragrances. I hear they are one of a kind! One day I will get around to trying them. One day!

But what caught my attention was not your review on Hanami....(ashamed to say it)....but rather...your mentioning of those mochis!!! They sound INSANELY DIVINE! I love mochi so you totally got my stomach's attention! (I know this is an old review, but I saw Ayala Moriel listed in your sidebar, so I just had to take a look).

duVergne,

I ordered Hanami unsniffed (mostly based on great descriptions here) and am now able to compare my experience of the scent to your wonderful, detailed description of smelling the notes broken out by base/heart/top. I would have loved to sniff the deconstructed components and then sniffing the whole together! Thank you for documenting the experience so thoroughly so I can imagine what it would have been like. Hanami is exquisite -- dirty but not dreary, creamy milky sweetness with beautifully blended florals that aren't "too pretty" at all. It succeeds in all those aspects, which is what makes it so remarkable.

duVergne,
Thank you so much for writing such a vivid and gorgeous piece about your time at Blunda for Ayala's Hanami showcase. I only wish I could have been there with you. But your eloquent words make me feel as if I had been.

Cheers,
Trish
