In Fiore Sniffapalooza Review and Giveaway

June 25, 2009 by scenthive

I would like to direct you to my review of In Fiore’s Fleurs Blanches and Rose Noir in the most recent issue of Sniffapalooza Magazine. Of course you should read all of the wonderful articles in the June 24th issue, but you’ll need to scroll down a few to get to mine. This is my second article to be published there, and to celebrate, I will send two lucky readers generous samples of In Fiore’s Maia Body Oil and Fleurs Blanches Parfum Solide (and maybe even an extra surprise). If you read my review of Maia Body Oil here on Scent Hive, you know Maia has been discontinued. But I have wonderful news! Julie Elliott, the owner of In Fiore, will soon re-release Maia under a new name. I don’t know the exact date, but I will keep you all posted.

In_Fiore

To enter the In Fiore sample giveaway, read my review at Sniffa Magazine, and then leave a comment here as to why In Fiore’s scents sound intriguing. Or….just say hello! It’s vacation time for Scent Hive, so you have until July 12th at 10pm PST to enter. Good Luck! Winners have been announced.

~to leave a comment, simply hit the word comments under the “share/save” button below. Since I’ll be on vacation, I won’t be responding to each comment as I typically do, but rest assured, if you comment you will be entered in the drawing!

I’ve been on a rose and a carnation hunt for some time.

I’d love to be entered in the Draw.

    Thanks, ChantillyLace.

I have the In Fiore Jolie body balm, which is wonderful, and I’m plotting a purchase of her Night Queen perfume solid. Would love to sample the Maia body oil and Fleurs Blanche as neither of those were available for purchase/sniffing at Supple Integrative where I bought my balm!

Mmmmm both solids sound glorious, but Fleurs Blanches sounds simply opulent.

I’d love to enter the draw!

    Good luck to all :-)

I already have the Fleurs Blanches solid and it is wonderful, your review is spot on! I would die for a sample of the Maia body oil — ever since your review of it I’ve been waiting for the Maia body balm to come out so I could buy it unsniffed. I love indolic jasmine, so didn’t bother trying Dayala (probably too clean for what I want). And I love body oils! Okay, enough gushing. :)

I’m still around….so I wanted to let you know Amy that Dayala has indoles, just not as much as Maia (whose new name will soon be revealed)! It’s definitely not a “clean” jasmine. So if you win the drawing I’ll be sure to send you a sample of Dayala instead of the Fleurs Blanches since you already have it. :-)

Thanks, Trish! I won’t rule Dayala out then…

Fleurs Blanches sounds like the most beautiful white flower scent! Jasmine and tuberose are some of my favorite notes, and to add orange blossom to the blend…I cannot wait to try this.

I enjoyed reading your description of the compacts….what a lovely treasure to hold. I remember my mother having parfum solides in her vanity drawer and as a young child, thinking how beautiful and grown up I would be when I would someday have this in my world as a young woman.

Deliciously appealing descriptions! Please enter me in the contest, and…Happy Birthday!

And happy birthday too!! :-) HOpe you’re having a wonderful time in your vacation stop of choice!

Thanks E! We actually leave tomorrow. Just getting ready…we’re heading to the San Juan Islands, Victoria and Vancouver BC.

I’ll enter you in the drawing b/c you should have the chance to check out In Fiore’s Maia, being the indolic jasmine lover you are :-)

    In Fiore Sample Giveaway

I am drawn to the Rose Noir solid perfume because the natural smell of roses personifies the essence of femininity. Yet most fragrances with the exception of a few like Guerlain’s Nahema smell soapy or like rose water and often remind me of potpourri’s or sachet’s for linen drawers. Because I prefer natural perfume to perfume with synthetic aromatic ingredients I am constantly in search of that special rose perfume. Your description of Rose Noir with its aromatic notes from nature sparks my imagination to sense the smell of rose floral sweetness grounded by the vibrant earthy woods. Rose Noir sounds like that special fragrance that I am searching for among a very large selection of fragrances and perfume. The rose quality appeals to my desire for feminine expression but the notes of oud and saffron make this perfume seem modern and elegant. I would reach for this perfume whenever I am looking to confirm my confidence, looking to feel special, romantic and when I am relaxing and spending time with my kids reading books or even going out to the movies. Rose Noir with its beautiful looking compact would be the finishing touch to my dressing routine. I can’t wait to try it!

    What an amazing giveaway!

I’ve been lusting after In fiore’s creations for years now. I loved your revews on Sniffapalooza and would be extatic to win either scent.

I can’t believe it has taken me so long to find these two amazing websites!! I am so following your blog!

    Heavenly…

The way you described the notes in each perfume makes me picture delicate, sweetly-fresh notes that create a surprisingly vibrant aroma. Only a good perfume can do this. It doesn’t matter how complex or simple a composition is… as long as it’s well-balanced. BOTH of the ones you described sound heavenly. The whole line sounds exquisite to be honest. I took a look at all eleven of their scents and they sound divine—each note looks and sounds as if they belong together. And it certainly doesn’t help that the packaging makes it look unbelievably luxurious! From the individual notes, to the hands that combined them, and then to the beautiful compact-type package….I really couldn’t tell you what makes the In Fiore line more intriguing…
